The Patterns menu/window

The Patterns menu appears whenever you're using a Paint tool.  You can "tear off" the Patterns menu by dragging down and beyond the menu.  Set the window down anywhere.  Move it by dragging its top bar.  Click its close box to put it away. Hold down the Option key to draw lines and shapes using the current pattern.  Double-click a pattern to edit it.
